Parent talk in April 2026
I’m so pleased to share that our recent parent talk was successfully completed. Thank you so much for your presence, engagement, and support 💛
Throughout the session, parents were very involved and asked many thoughtful questions. Even after the talk ended, three parents stayed back to continue the discussion, which really reflects how much you all care about your children and their development.
It was truly meaningful to see how invested everyone is in parenting and understanding your child, and that is such an important foundation for their growth 🌼
✨ Upcoming Parent Talk Topics
I will continue to run more parent talks, and the next session will focus on common behavioural and emotional themes we see in children, including:
• Power & Control
• Internalising behaviours (e.g. anxiety, withdrawal, holding emotions in)
• Externalising behaviours (e.g. anger, aggression, defiance)
• Understanding and expressing emotions
• Building self-confidence
• Social development
🌼 My hope is to support parents in understanding the meaning behind children’s behaviours, rather than just managing the behaviours themselves, and to provide practical ways to support children in everyday life.
If there are specific topics you would like me to cover in future sessions, please feel free to let me know—I would love to include what matters most to you 💛
Grant open new Playroom at Lindfield
Play therapy provides a safe space for children to express themselves and explore their unique qualities. Through play therapy they can better understand who they are, while the therapist identifies their needs and helps parents gain insight into their child. With this deeper understanding, parents can adjust their parenting approach to better meet their child's needs, ultimately boosting the child's confidence, communication, and social skills.
New Lego Club course at Pymble
With the use of Lego-Based Therapy, April collaborates with Blossoming Support Service at Pymble to improve children’s social and communications skills through Lego Club. For getting to know more information, please contact me.

Grateful to be Invited by Play Therapist Chrisal, I share my journey working with children, emphasizing learning from failures. Reflecting on a challenging therapy session, I realized the importance of adaptability, empathy, and ongoing education. Each setback has strengthened me, shaping me into a “Good Enough” therapist.
